In 2017, independent studio Total Mayhem Games released an original adventure-logic game titled We Were Here for asymmetrical, cooperative gameplay. It gave birth to a series, the development of which became a mainstay of this team's work over the following years. We Were Here Tomorrow, described here, is the sixth item under this banner.
In We Were Here Tomorrow the events are once again viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the gameplay we explore the complex and solve logical and environmental puzzles, which, like in the so-called escape rooms, block the way forward.
As we have only a part of the necessary information, in order to deal with the problems we encounter, we have to work closely with a companion, exchanging the acquired data through the handset, as well as describing what we see. A novelty in the series is the equipping of characters with unique, differing outfits and abilities that allow them to overcome specific obstacles.
We Were Here Tomorrow can only be played in co-op mode over the Internet.
We Were Here Tomorrow takes us to the Norcek complex, a retrofuturistic facility where we wake up in mysterious capsules. As we traverse it and face intellectual challenges, we gradually discover what this place is, why we ended up here, and the significance of our actions.

Game Ratings for We Were Here Tomorrow Video Game.
Gamer Social Club: 5 / 10 by Vikki McGowan
There are some flashes of brilliance in We Were Here Tomorrow. My co-op partner said it contains fome of his favourite puzzle moments of the year; and we’ve played Big Walk and Orbitals. But even without the bugs, the story is mostly forgettable and so many of the puzzles fall victim to one person having all the info while the other stands about waiting to be told what to do – a difficult sell in a packed co-op market. With the bugs? An excersise in frustration I cannot recommend.
Use a Potion: 9 / 10
We Were Here Tomorrow is an excellent sci-fi escapade that evolves upon the series’ puzzling formula in a satisfying fashion. The challenging enigmas are a treat to solve, the sci-fi setting makes for some wonderful sights, and the co-op gameplay loop feels better than ever. It really is a hell of a lot of fun to play, and whilst it could have done with a little bit more polish in some places, it still manages to stand out as another must-play entry in the series.
Xbox Tavern: 9.1 / 10 by Jamie Collyer
Overall, We Were Here Tomorrow is another solidly designed co-op puzzle title that tests brain power, skill, and teamwork. It’s a lot of fun to work as a team to solve the tests, and adds enough new ideas to the mix to make it well worth a look even if you’ve beaten the rest of the series.
