In terms of the mechanics, State of Mind is a typical adventure game requiring the player to explore the in-game environments, talk to other characters, collect items and solve puzzles. The player takes on the roles of several different characters undergoing mutual interactions.

A two-dimensional adventure game with platformer features from the independent Polish team at Juggler Games. It takes players to a fictional city ruled by the Evil King and his army of robots. Certain districts have been separated from others by a high wall, and this ghetto is used to contain the so called “worse part of society”. The players take control of two kids trying to survive in the cruel new reality. My Memory Of Us uses side-view camera angle to present the world, and the controlled duo must support each other to overcome all obstacles and solve all puzzles. One of the game’s selling points is a simplified dialogue system based on symbols, as well as its setting being inspired by actual life in Poland under German occupation during World War II, especially inside Jewish ghettos. It also stands out with the monochromatic colors of its visuals.

The open world of the game is procedurally generated, and the surfaces of planets and moons are made of voxels. You play as an astronaut equipped with tools allowing them to dig holes in order to find resources and artifacts, which can be then sold or used to create new items thanks to an expansive crafting system. The system allows not only to make and modify useful equipment and vehicles, but also to build bases. The planets featured in the game vary in terms of gravity, resources, and possible dangers. The game features both a single player mode and a multiplayer mode.

The game is based on mechanics of the classic point-and-click adventure titles, supplementing the formula with several innovative features. The largest noticeable difference between the sequel and the original game marked by the fact that Silence: The Whispered World 2 features three-dimensional visuals, offering a fairytale-like atmosphere.

Hated by everyone around, Jack is trying to reconcile his duties with conducting a private investigation in order to discover who framed him. The plot of Beat Cop is non-linear and its many endings depend on your decisions. Interestingly, the game was inspired by American crime TV shows from the 70s and 80s, which is reflected in its atmosphere and humor. The time-management element of the production is most visible when you're patrolling the streets of Brooklyn, while during the investigation segments it becomes a detective/adventure game. Beat Cop has a distinct retro feel thanks to its pixel-art graphics and oldschool soundtrack.

Scorn takes the players to an unreal world that balances on the verge of dream and reality. It consists of several open locations joined together, built almost exclusively from organic material; each one is characterized by different style and a unique set of logic puzzles. Careful exploration is a very important element of the gameplay, since every thing we accidentally miss can completely change the further course of the game. As we progress, our character masters new skills and finds numerous useful items and weapons. Combat is not the main focus of the gameplay, though, for not every character we encounter is hostile towards us. The main highlight of Scorn is a dense atmosphere of constant anxiety. The production is powered by Unreal Engine 4, and, apart from realistic graphics, features a minimalistic interface which empowers immersion.

In the game you play as a trio of heroes who are trying to save the world from a threat posed by the titular tentacle. After coming into contact with an unknown substance it acquired consciousness and high intelligence. The only salvation seems to be traveling back in time in order to prevent the tentacle from being born. However, after the time machine malfunctions, the situation gets more complicated, as the heroes get trapped in three different historical periods. The creators made sure that the new edition was faithful to the original ideas, offering as much absurd humor as the original and the unique 2D visuals that are reminiscent of classic cartoons by Warner Bros.

By exploring the chateau and solving subsequent puzzles our protagonist reveals consecutive terrible facts of his own past, finding answers to a number of questions bothering him. The authors offered unusual game mechanics, resigning entirely from fighting skills. In return, during the game we have to take care of the protagonist’s mental health, avoiding darkness and escaping from various terrifying creatures. Our main weapons are matches, oil lamps and other sources of light. The [roduction features dark atmosphere, reminiscent of works of H. P. Lovecraft.

The story of the game presents further adventures of the young protagonist, Zoe Castillo, who thanks to her highly unusual powers is able to travel between three worlds: the magical Arcadia, the technologically advanced Stark and the mysterious Storytime. Since it is a traditional adventure game, the gameplay focuses on such features like item gathering, conversations with non-playable characters and riddle solving. Despite the rather small budget of the game, developers of Dreamfall: Chapters have created attractive visuals generated by using the popular Unity Engine.
